Custom Aluminum Boat Designs and Production Plans
Professional Naval Architecture Services and Support
Before the first aluminum plate is cut, there's a question that shapes everything after: was this boat truly designed—or simply built? Naval architecture is the work you don't see: the lines, weights, structure, stability, and systems decisions that turn a nice idea into a boat you can trust. You feel it when the shop floor gets complicated. You feel it when your family steps aboard. You feel it when conditions turn. And you feel it—quietly—in the confidence that comes from knowing someone engineered the plan on purpose.

This is where your boat takes shape. We explore different hull forms, layouts, and styling options to find the right balance for your needs. Together we'll determine the overall size, interior arrangements, and propulsion requirements—giving you a clear picture of how your vessel could look and perform.
Now we get into the engineering. We analyze the hull structure, calculate stability, and refine the design to ensure everything works together. This phase confirms your boat will perform as expected—handling well, meeting safety standards, and being practical to build. It's where the concept transforms into a buildable design.
In this phase, the design is finalized and "locked in" so the boat can be priced, approved, and built with confidence. The naval architect produces complete drawings and specifications covering structure, layout, systems, materials, weight and balance, and overall performance, so there is no guesswork for the owner or builder. This package defines exactly what will be built, how it will be built, and how it meets safety and regulatory standards.
In the production engineering phase, the finalized design is translated into an efficient repeatable process. The naval architect and builder develop detailed shop drawings, jig layouts, material lists, and construction sequences to reduce build time, cost, and errors. This package ensures the yacht can be built consistently, to quality standards, and within the builder's available facilities and resources.
